The way this movie is animated is unique. Chris and Will have come up with a character animation method that still uses the basic actions for walking and movement but basically doubled the speed, or the ground covered, so characters move insanely fast even in the 'Walk' action and the movie thus never gets boring between transitions. This is bound to be labeled as an exclusive animation method copyright in effect to the two talented directors. Blood and guts are shown with the classic squashed explosion splatter effect which they also decided to speed up more than other directors would have which works well and fits in with the feel. The star character Gustave somersaults all over the shop in every scene, and usually beats, shoots or stabs anyone he passes in the street. Its silly, and that is why it is so funny. Its silly, and it hardly ever gets boring. When it does though its a little bad, like listening to Johnny talking about something for a couple hundred frames (who isn't particularly amusing in the last part of the movie). Or when Gustave is threatening to kill someone before he inevitably does. But then this gives some other parts of the movie more impact, like when you think Jack is going to talk to Gustave for ages, but then Gustave slaps him and continues on. Other instances of pure stupid comedy is the way thay Gustave goes into the bars toilets and pisses all over the place and just laughs. You really have to see this to believe it. Cobra was funny as well, he is the guy who gets killed in the quote of the movie under the pictures to the left. I was tempted to put a more longer quote in concerning Cobras name and the way he talks like he always uses a CB radio with the start and end transmission clicks. Why? Why have such a stupid thing in a movie? Because its real funny. Watch it and see. I particularly like the way Chris and Will went out of their way to get good audio. Wav recoded midis, wav songs, voice clarity and most of all the little things, like the way that before the disco scenes down a corridor before the main disco the music sounds more distorted then when the action gets to the disco. Not many directors go that far. The death sounds are funny too. Chris and Will stick with the same characters over and over and use the same death sounds. My favorite is the 'eh mon EEEEH!!!!!' blokes death which is coincidently a cry of 'eh mon EHHHHHHH!!!'. Its classic, its like the Bubba and Bubbos, 'O'yeah!' signature line. What I found boring however was Johnny's voice near the end. He sounded like some boring chap. Otherwise, excellent sound score. There was no objections with the scenery either. Although it was made simplistically it was good looking and suited the movie. Both default and hand made scenery was used and camera choices were exellent within both types of scenery. Look at the stabbing scene, exellent choice. The scenery was never squared up to the camera angle making the movie look more dynamic. In hand made scenery doors move fluidly and moving camera angles are done well. If your tastes are as good as mine you will find this movie funny. If ever you are down, load this onto 3DMM and laugh your fucking lungs out. -Jay Holliday
