Marcus Whitman Rumble, a story about a normal kid that gets mixed up in a sinister plot to slaughter 1100 young lives at the school which is Marcus Whitman Junior High. The school is a real school and the characters are real characters, just thrown into a bit more exiting story line. Although the storyline is a little weak and has no substance (as of yet, because part 2 is in development) in the way nobody really explains why all of these well equopped terrorists are going to kill a bunch of kids, what is there is amusing to watch and to listen to.

The main point which earned Marcus Whitman Rumble its relatively good score is the way that conversations extend in ways that they really would. It does not sound scripted, but I think it was. Tom King strikes me as a talented voice actor which I hope to use in my own upcoming movies, as even in this movie his lines actually sound like a teenage arrogant kid, swearing convincingly, muttering under his voice. The Tom King in the movie (because Tom King the director stars in his own movie) is an adult like teenager of maybe say 14 or 15 who is cocky and arrogant, and its this character that kind of makes the movie good to watch. What was a little it of a screw up is that the voices were not placed close enough to each other in the movie relative to my own PC so it broke up the conversations. Tom must have used one real mother of a machine to make this movie on if the voices sounded right on his computer. The movie also uses the talents of Kelly Bison, another good voice actor which made the voices and their clarity such a benefit to the movie.

Animation wise the movie was OK, but nothing overly spectacular. All hand made scenes which is a credit, but unfortunatley not nearly enough camera angles. The animations for characters were your standard off the menu pretty unmodified stuff which seems to be common to most directors at this time, but the action sequences shown were done well enough, although short and infrequent. They were not gob smacking Jimmy Pozin style but they fitted the movie adequately, the shotgun dodging scene mainly was a highlight.

Music was good, it was fitting (although there were some songs I didn't personally like) and good quality all of the way through as well. Classical music in the principals office added to the effect of that scene, as did the upbeat stuff in the action scenes.

Overall the movie wasn't amazing and although voices are not what makes a movie good they were excellent none the less. All those all out hardcore action movie lovers out their, its not THAT type of action. Its just pretty good entertainment and IMHO very worthy of a download.
