If you want information on the rating system then you are at the right section. Its a little FAQ which I hope will solve any questions.

If anyone wants to add to this little FAQ, feel free to email a question and Ill put it up here with my answer.

WHAT DO YOU RATE MOVIES ON?
I rate movies basically on how good they are to watch. If they look like they are trying to be a real movie and then they sound and look like a real movie then it gets 100%. If it is trying to be a comedy exploiting the differences between 3D Movie Maker and real movies then that is taken into account also (such as speeded up running, and things not normally achievable in real movies).

Included in this broad spectrum is the following factors. Visuals, audio, atmosphere (funniness for comedies, scariness for horrors e.t.c), plot, characters, realism (if applicable). If the visuals are as like a real movie as it can possibly get it gets 100%. If the audio is as much like a real movie as it can get than it gets 100%, and so on for all the rest. This all happens in my brain after watching it over many times and averaged out to give the final rating. You might argue that some shortcuts are made to save time and to release the movie earlier. If you want to compromise than it is up to you but it will impact upon your rating. That is why people who do not compromise get the highest scores.

Ratings are given based on the 3DMM file and nothing more. The rating is not and will never be biased in any way. That is the reason I do not review my own movies. Lastly I ignore file size in the percentage, but I do comment on it in the review.

WHY DOES MY MOVIE WHICH GOT 96% ON ONE SITE GET 79% ON THIS SITE?
Understand that the way I review movies, and the scale on which I place them in the percentage is different to other sites. Other sites reviews are based on how good movies are compared to others. If its the best 3D Movie ever released then it gets a high score. At '3DMM Reviews' it is way different. I believe that I am an experienced 3D Movie Maker personally, and I think that with perseverance I could create a movie that, shot for shot, could be translated to the silver screen and pull in some mean ass box office takings. And I am always trying to in every movie I make. Now I think that I can better this 'best movie ever made' movie by far, but then if it gets reviewed it will only get a few percent better than the next movie because that is all the system allows.

My system rates movies based on a comparison on how good they are to how good I think they could be. There are usually always areas to improve on movies in every one I watch. If I ever see one where I cannot see improvements, where a director has taken no shortcuts and the movie is as good as it can be, that will be the day when I hand out the 100%. So if you can make a much better movie than 'the best movie ever made' then on 3DMM Reviews the rating for your movie will reflect that fact. This also means that I do not have to re review movies if they are ever bettered by another movie in the future. If a movie 3 years ago got 94% and is crap by comparison to a movie which gets 86% in modern times then that does not make sense now does it?

Please do not make the mistake of comparing my ratings with other sites ratings as we all operate on a different scale.

WHAT ABOUT THE MOVIES YOU MAKE?
I get someone else to review them on the same system as I described above

WHICH MOVIES GET REVIEWED?
Every movie which worms its way onto my hard drive, and all the ones that are listed in the 'New Releases' emails I get from webmasters. If I am running out of movies to review still after all of this then I will go online and download some more movies to review. I'm a reviewing machine. If you are eager for me to review your movie then send it to me. Email me to see if I already have it on my hard drive before though please. And warn me if it is enormous.

DON'T PEOPLE GET ANNOYED IF THEY GET A BAD REVIEW?
Yes, but what can I say? Its my truthful opinion which happens to be available for viewing from any part of the world. If it is constructive for your publicity then awesome... I hope everyone gets to see it. If it damages your reputation then too bad. Make a better movie next time. You should know how good your movie is so if it gets reviewed by me the rating should not come at a surprise to you, whether the movie is good or bad.
